Monograms

Choosing one’s initials to monogram a trousseau has evolved over the years. Traditionally, a woman’s monogram would appear in the following order: the first initial of the woman’s first name to the left, the first initial of the married surname would appear larger in the center and the first initial of the woman’s maiden surname to the right.

Today, the most popular method of monogramming is: the first initial of the wife’s first name to the left, the first initial of the married surname larger in the center and the first initial of the husband’s name to the right.

When monogramming all initials in the same size for an individual the order would be: the first initial of the first name followed by the first initial of the middle name or maiden name and concluded with the first initial of the last name.

You may choose a standard style monogram, duplicate a family monogram or crest or create a monogram that is a reflection of your personal style.

Monograms are available, but not limited to, sheets, towels, table linens, barware, china, crystal, robes, sweaters, blankets, throws, coverlets, children and infant wear, as well as sterling frames and jewelry.
